  Wow,they just came here too.My hubby is inactive and they wanted to invite him to the Memorial.I subscribe to the W and A also for my brother in L.A. He loves to read about all different religions.I sent a Dollar in for his renewal!LOL- I guess they wanted to see who I was since I haven't been a witness for many yearss!My name was on the renewal they said.But it wasn't.It was on the check!Liars!Well he goes outside to talk to them.He knows better than to let them in!My head might spin and I will spit out green stuff!!!LOL.PS where can I find istructons on how to post pictures and images?GG

  Happy Man

  i am new to this board but i have seen an old friend here!his name is happy man.he is a j.w.

  but not like many that we have known.he is a kind and gentle man.he had many go arounds with the people from tim campbells board.needless to say where he lives in sweden it is alot better then here.the witnesses he knows are not as the ones are here.they don't seem to be as materialistic as some here are.and they don't seem to be as politcally inclined in their congregations as they are here.he really is from sweden as tim checked this out.his english is limited.but he tries very hard.happy man i gave yu a site for jehvahs witnees but i just found out they were full.i am sorry.they kicked me out because i never commented and they needed the room for those that would talk.does that tell you anything about the way they are here?te witnesses tell their people that the internet is a bad place.and yet they have their own website!anyway happy man is a very loyal j.w.

  and a very pleasant person to talk too.i think by comming on these boards he is slowly starting to see some of the wrong that is being done by the j.w.

  Passive agressive behavior- a common JW trait?

  i'd like to ask a serious question about passive agressive behavior and witnesses.

  i know a variety of non-witnesses who are passive aggressive in their behavior so this is obviously something of a attitude that anyone can have.

  but i was curious to find out if people think this behavior is common among witnesses?

  Well I am in shock!I was just told that I am PA.I had no idea what that meant.What you are saying is so true!I had 3 children(all grown up now) and a demanding husband(JW).Now when I try to communicate my needs they look at me like I am crazy!Well live and learn!Someone told me it was like "Somebody gave me an Ice cream cone-but then they took it away and ate it!" Like everything positive you think,you end it with a negative.Is this true?Have any good links for that? GG

  WHAT IS THE BEST JOB YOU HAVE EVER HAD??

  the best job for me was being a single parent to lisa m.ayers..she is repaying me back 1,000 fold..i love her dearly!!

  she is not a jw--nvr was in her mind or heart--that is why she is so sweet and loveable and i must tell cyber-world !!

  I have to say being a stay at home Mom for 3 children until they were old enough to take care of themselves!(If that is possible!)Then a great job in a Bank.I have to admit,being a JW prepared me for meeting the public,which I did a lot of!Now. Being retired,This is definitely getting to be the best job!! GG

  we have a thread that asks why we became jw's, so i became curious as to why some of us have left.

  what was the last straw for you?.

  mine was the treatment of my wife.

  When I was vacationing in Florida,I called my girlfriend(Married) and she told me she had been disfellowshipped!She was sleeping around!No big news to me.I already knew it.She confided in me she had a problem.She couldn't say no!Now I knew this girl!She had severe mental problems!She had tried to OD on pills.When I called the overseers,they just told me to call her Dr.Nothing else!Never called back to see how she was!I called her Dr.He wouldn't return my call!(He prescribed the pills for her).So I was on my own keeping her awake.She finally came around.Her Husband came home and I left.A few weeks later her husband (A JW)came home and caught her with another guy.He beat the crap out of her!She came running to my house and I cleaned her up and called her husband.He was sorry and she ended up going back!Well he called the elders and they came running!(One of them was all of 21).They disfellowshipped her.She could never help herself.This girl had bad emotional problems.Instead of helping her to get help ,they threw her out!She was raised in a JW home.Her Mom took off when she was 3 and her JW dad remarried!Her stepmom(also a JW) beat her constantly!She made her do all the cooking and cleaning and help watch her stepsister,(who was the angel of the family).Her dad wouldn't protect her.She never saw her Mom again.After she married a sailor,she received a letter from her mom and pictures.Her mom was real sick and died right after that.Before they could meet each other.She ended up getting divorced and he got custody of the kids.He left the JW religion.So did she.Now I have heard she is going back!I can't believe she is doing that.But she really believes it is the"Truth".I guess because she was raised in it.Anyway,when I heard they had disfellowshipped her I though"they are the most cold and heartless people I have ever known".That girl really needed help.And in those days they did not recommend going to a counselor!And I wrote a letter of disassociation.Didn't take much to make me leave!Now I am learning all the reasons why I could never believe all that stuff they tried to shove down my throat!

  as we read the many expressions here on the board it is plain for all to see that the actions and beliefs of the wts have caused great hurt and distress.

  why, even blind freddie can see it!

  in short, for many, many jws the organisation with its elder arrangement just doesn't work.

  In my opinion.After reading so many comments from both.I feel like the ones that are disfellowhipped still believe it is the truth.They are just mad at the people.Those that left on their own tend to not believe a lot of the J.W. teachings!What do others think?I left on my own and I just never could believe the things they taught!Even tho I stayed with them for at least 15 years!Stupid huh! GG
